About Hayley
Twelve years of designing homes in Yorkshire
Hayley trained in design to degree level and has worked as an interior designer for twelve years, founding Altavega Interior Design in 2021. She has designed homes of every age and scale across York, Harrogate and the surrounding villages, working with a circle of local joiners, decorators, upholsterers and curtain makers built up over many years.
She still leads every project herself, from the first visit to the day the last picture is hung.

Whole-house design
A complete scheme for a renovation, extension or new home, from the first sketch to the final cushion, managed from start to finish.
Individual rooms
A drawing room, a kitchen or a guest bedroom. A single considered scheme, sourced and installed, for rooms that need a fresh eye.
Furnishing and styling
Curtains, upholstery, lighting, rugs and art for a home that is structurally finished but does not yet feel complete.
Approach
Unhurried, from the first conversation
A conversation at home
Hayley begins by visiting you. She walks through the house, talks about how you live in it and what is not working, and agrees the scope of the project with you.
Concept and scheme
Layouts, palettes, fabric and finish samples are presented in person, so you can see and touch everything before a decision is made.
Sourcing and installation
Hayley orders, coordinates trades and oversees delivery, then dresses the rooms herself so that you return to a home that is finished.
